May Charity Engagement
As we are only weeks away from June Workplace Giving Month and the End of Financial Year (EOFY), now is the perfect time to update your ‘regular update’ message on the Good2Give Workplace Giving Platform. This message is your charity’s way of reaching out personally to your donors to thank them for their generosity throughout the year and share with them how their donations have been spent. You may also choose to ask for an EOFY donation – this could be especially meaningful if you have an EOFY campaign target, or specific project you are raising funds for. To update your message, please do so directly on the Good2Give Workplace Giving Platform before 4 June 2019.
To set up a specific EOFY appeal:
- Download and complete a Charity Project Request form (editable PDF) and put #EOFY19 into your project title
- Email it to our Charity Team along with an image to illustrate your appeal (details provided in the form)
- You can also reach out to existing supports to promote your appeal
- Deadline is 5pm Tuesday 4th June 2019
Long-standing client Aurizon has opened another round of their Community Giving Fund program offering $1000 to $20,000 cash grants for charities with DGR1 Status in various funding categories and locations across Australia. Applications are currently open and will close at 5pm on 28 June 2019. You can apply for this grant here.
The Lorna Earl and William Woodberry (LEWW) Scholarship Program was established following a bequest to Good2Give. The LEWW Scholarships provide the opportunity for Aboriginal students from a financially disadvantaged background to study at universities in NSW, to encourage Indigenous students to further their education and contribute to the development of Aboriginal people’s education. The establishment of a Foundation Account within the Good2Give Community Fund allows the program to be run in perpetuity, utilising the income from the endowment to make scholarships. Good2Give is delighted to partner with The Aurora Education Foundation to deliver new scholarships following the successful selection of the five inaugural Lorna Earl and William Woodberry Scholars. Aurora’s Indigenous Scholarships Portal provides access to over 900 scholarship opportunities available for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to attend a university or any registered training organisations.
Good2Give’s Client and Partnerships Manager, Michelle Adler recently spoke at the ConnectingUp conference with GoFundraise’s General Manager, Anthea Cohen in Melbourne. They highlighted the challenges that charities face in this digital world, how they can adapt through technology and the key to unlocking corporate donations through workplace giving and peer-to-peer fundraising.
