5 Days of Giving: Day 4 Give a Day of Pay
Today’s challenge is to donate one day of pay to a cause you care about – and see how good it feels!
If your employer has workplace giving, you can give a day of pay as a one-off donation to your charity of choice – or to a couple of charities if you like.
There are over 2,000 charities on Good2Give’s workplace giving platform covering a wide range of needs, including animals, aged care, children and young people, indigenous, and overseas aid and development.
If you haven’t signed up for workplace giving, but know your company is on the Good2Give platform, chat to your HR Manager who can help you get signed up.
Sign in now, or donate directly to your charity of choice.
You can also check out this Workplace Giving Tax Calculator to see how much a generous one-time donation will save you in tax and actually cost.
Remember: every dollar counts. If you can’t afford to give a day of your salary away, consider giving $1 every day for a month. $30 will put food on the table for a couple of days for those who are most in need.
If your company doesn’t have workplace giving, today’s challenge can be: ask for it!
Put the case forward and tell them how beneficial workplace giving can be from an employee engagement and corporate social responsibility perspective. Need some facts to back up your case? Check out the features and benefits of workplace giving and send us an email to let us know you are interested.
