October 2019 Business Giving
Kindness Pays!
Increasingly, many organisations are realising the benefits of a corporate giving programs that go far beyond altruism alone, discussed in our article Why Kindness is Good for Business. Raising the visibility and adoption levels of your corporate giving program can reap huge rewards for your organisation, as our client REA Group has demonstrated recently. Congratulations on ranking 6th in the Australian Great Place to Work study, a significant achievement they attribute in part to their commitment to charitable community engagement. SAP, another client, were right behind them at number seven.
The Future of Giving
Innovation is at the heart of Good2Give, so we’re intrigued to hear what insights the global data-driven team at London Benchmarking Group will deliver in their upcoming 2019 Conference “Impact: Beyond 2030”, with the focus on helping organisations to define their purpose beyond profit, now and in the future.
This is a timely session, as the recently released Charities Aid Foundation 10th World Giving Index raises important questions around charitable giving in Australia. Whilst we remain a generous nation, the harsh reality remains; commitment to all kinds of charitable support will need to increase both on a personal and corporate level for the societal impact of their work to be continued.
Get on Board and Give
Now is the perfect time to plan an event, with a range of opportunities to engage your staff around a unified theme for their giving. Make the most of high profile campaigns by getting on board with moments like Movember, the Global Giving Tuesday movement and of course the most magical time of them all, Christmas! Encourage staff to use their mo-tivation and benefit from the seamless donation experience, pre-tax donation benefits and any company matching you may offer by putting their own appeal on the Good2Give Workplace Giving Platform. You can even spruce up your festive messaging by using our Christmas Toolkit .
Ideas and Innovation
We love showcasing projects that have taken us to new places and inspire us to continue to innovate. In conjunction with Westpac Group, the Giving Tree project was a great example of engaging employees and customers in a visually impactful and physically impressive way, but most importantly on a level that truly resonated with them, prompting the significant benefits for the charities concerned.
Our partner, GoFundraise, has developed a great product that can be adapted for a host of applications. This is a virtual giving solution, currently being used by Legacy which also supports follow-up donor engagement through digital communication. Incredibly versatile, it could be adapted for any cause or project that wants to showcase donor recognition, to encourage staff to give using Workplace Giving.
