Kimberly-Clark’s quick response to help during the bushfire crisis
Kimberly-Clark undertook several approaches, both locally and internationally, to help those communities affected by the recent bushfire crisis:
1 – Local Employee Dollar Matching
Kimberly-Clark launched a bushfire appeal, using Good2Give’s Workplace Giving Platform, which allowed Australia and New Zealand employees to support charities and organisations of their choice involved in the relief efforts.
2 – Global Support
Good2Give supported Kimberly-Clark in North America with the creation of an online fundraising page, with all donations going to local Australian foodbanks, the World Wildlife Foundation and the Australian Red Cross.
3 – Product Donation
Working with long-standing partner Foodbank Australia, Kimberly-Clark provided ongoing supplies of essential products such as nappies, sanitary products, facial and toilet tissue, in order to best respond strategically to requests from affected communities.
This includes providing additional product support to evacuation centres, displaced communities and front-line services, both in the immediate term and in the weeks and months to follow.
Hannah Mann, Communications Consultant, from Kimberly-Clark stated:
“All of us here at Kimberly-Clark have been devastated by the harrowing bushfires occurring across the country and have been committed to supporting the relief efforts wherever possible. Moving forward we will continue to assess supply requirements, to ensure we are playing an active role in the recovery and rebuilding efforts that will occur for some time into the future.” |
Since the beginning of the bushfire crisis Kimberly-Clark Australia have raised many thousands of dollars for charities which is certain to have a huge impact on the communities they care about.
