Encouraging donations through matched payroll giving

Good2Give’s client, REA Group, has launched a clever little Coronavirus initiative. One of the ways REA Group give back is through their Community Café, however the Café has had to temporarily close while all staff work from home.

Jessica Christie, Executive Manager of Community Partnerships & Engagement, at REA Group noticed that she was having more virtual coffees and drinks than ever before with colleagues during the enforced working from home period. So, Jessica and her team have been encouraging their colleagues to make a donation to one of REA’s charity partners through the Good2Give Matched Payroll Giving platform – for the cost of their coffee or drink.

Jessica says ‘It’s a way we can continue supporting our charity partners with much needed funding at the moment. Donating through our Matched Payroll Giving programs means the donations are deducted from employees’ pre-tax salaries and are matched dollar for dollar by REA’.

The REA Group is encouraging employees to support Launch Housing, Orange Sky Australia and The Big Issue in Australia. But they can also support any of the 2400+ charities on the Good2Give platform.
