How to extend the reach of appeals

Get existing appeals in front of a whole new audience that is ready to give – turning workplace giving into an exciting new donation stream.

Step 1

Showcase your appeal as a project

Projects allow potential donors to:

  • See the appeal when browsing your charity profile page.
  • Find your appeal in the charities search results.
  • Direct donations to the specific appeal they care about.
  • Set up for one-time donations, allowing you to attract new donors who may become ongoing donors later.
  • Set projects to open ended or with a specific end date to work in with funding goals.

Reach out to existing supporters

Maximise your appeal’s events and activities by inviting donations through workplace giving.

Some examples:

  • Highlight workplace giving as a great way to support your appeal during launch events or corporate lunches.
  • Include workplace giving and Good2Give in social media messages during the period of your appeal.
  • Remind volunteers and supporters that workplace giving is the best way to support your appeal, particularly if their company matches donations.

By encouraging supporters to donate to your appeal through workplace giving you could secure extra funds via company matching programs.

Step 3

Stay top of mind with existing workplace givers

Send a Regular Update to promote your appeal to existing workplace givers. Here’s how:

  1. Sign in at my.good2give.ngo.
  2. Go to the Communications tab.
  3. Select New Message and then Regular Update.
  4. Write a brief update on your appeal, and ask them for support.
  5. Add an A4 PDF portrait oriented document with more details and relevant imagery.
  6. Press Save and Submit.
