DescriptionThe Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG) is the peak national gynaecological cancer research organisation. We are recognised as a world leader in clinical trials research. We are an independent not-for-profit which collaborates with numerous research institutions across Australia and New Zealand.There are seven gynaecological cancers including ovarian, cervical, endometrial and vulval. These cancers and their symptoms are not well known, yet 6,500Australian women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer every year. ANZGOGs research is developing targeted treatments for women diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer to improve outcomes and quality of life.Virtually every advance in cancer survival has been made on the back of clinical trials.Our purpose is to improve the outcomes and quality of life for women with a gynaecological cancer through conducting and promoting cooperative clinical trials and research into the causes, prevention and treatments of gynaecological cancers.WomenCan is the public fundraising arm of ANZGOG.
