Get Giving – Insights from Industry Champions
As part of our commitment to expanding corporate giving in Australia, we hosted our first joint webinar with Workplace Giving Australia on 29 March 2021. Joined by speakers from Greenhill & Co., Heritage Bank, Toyota Australia, and United Way Australia, we explored some of the most successful workplace giving programs in Australia.
Greenhill & Co.
First, you’ll hear from Greenhill & Co, a winner in the Workplace Giving Excellence Awards in the Best Overall Category for an SME. Greenhill has a 100% participation rate in their workplace giving program, and their average donation amount is three times the national average. We were joined by Tahnee Kljaic, Associate and key member of their Community Impact team.
Heritage Bank
Margo Dewar, Chief People Officer at Heritage Bank shares learnings from their workplace giving program refresh. A large project involving a three-month campaign of activities and a generous period of triple matching, Heritage Bank was a winner in the Best Launch/Refresh category of the 2021 Workplace Giving Awards.
Toyota Australia
Toyota implemented a workplace giving program with Good2Give in 2013 and has been a long-standing client. Since the program’s inception, they have contributed over half a million dollars to charities around Australia through their workplace giving program. Presenting on behalf of Toyota Australia, Erin Lucas, Environment & Community Coordinator, shared insights into running a workplace giving program when giving values are pre-determined by an international parent company, and how they refreshed their program when their local workforce was significantly reduced.
United Way Australia
Finally, you’ll hear from Marla Bozic, Head of Partnerships at United Way Australia who received the Most Innovative Charity and Employer Partnership award for their work with Costco. Together, United Way Australia and Costco raised $240,000 for their charity partners in one year alone.
